Development of School Facilities
In order not only to remain competitive but also to continually strive to expand and improve the School’s facilities, the School and the Foundation have identified a number of important building projects for the next decade. A feasibility study for a new Science Faculty, either new build or total refurbishment, is well advanced. Furthermore, planning is underway for the development of the Art, Information Technology and Design Technology Faculty. Moreover, studies are also in place to consider the shape and extent of the School’s sporting facilities as we move towards and beyond the London Olympics. Finally, we also wish to develop our pastoral care still further with the expansion and improvement to our student year common rooms which will better support the diverse needs of our girls and boys.
It has been decided that currently the immediate priority for the School and the Foundation is to contribute to the funding of the development of our Performing Arts’ areas which will provide significant improvements to the Howard Hall, including new seating, ambience as well as technical, new drama and music studios and gallery and hospitality provision. Back stage and storage will also be catered for and a start on this major project will be programmed once we have established sound funding streams. Concept line drawings are shown below:
In order to build this, with £500k already raised and committed to the Project, we need your help.
