Donors to the Bedford Modern School Development Programme
Bedford Modern School would like to thank the Old Bedford Modernians, Friends of BMS, Parents and companies for their support of the Development Programme 1st July 2008 - 30th June 2009. Please click here to see a list of donors who we are delighted to recognise and honour.
1764 Society
To honour those who have helped in the past, and in recognition of those in the present, who have made legacy bequests to Bedford Modern School in their wills, it was agreed to set up an exclusive Society, named the 1764 Society, commemorating Bedford Modern School’s founding.
Individuals who inform the Bedford Modern School Development Office of their intention to make a bequest to the School will automatically become members of the Society. Member's names will not be published given that this is often a personal issue. However, in order to recognise and thank members appropriately, they will be invited to an annual lunch hosted by the Chairman of the Bedford Modern School Development Committee, the Headmaster and the Chairman of Governors. In this way, members who so wish will be kept informed of the School’s development plans and intentions for the future.
We very much hope that you will wish to become a member of this important and worthy Society.
In addition, it has been agreed by the Development Board to expand the membership base of the Society to those individuals who have donated cash sums of over £5,000 to the School’s development, in recognition of their outstanding support of the School.
Naming Opportunities
The Development Office would be delighted to discuss the many opportunities for donors to sponsor projects bearing their names. Such areas involved might be Scholarships, Sporting facilities, buildings and even additional rooms.
Reports on Giving
Reports will be published from time to time to properly acknowledge the outstanding support received by the School.
