Prime Focus

The Friends of BMS is the conduit through which funds for the School’s Development initiatives are channeled.

Bedford Modern School’s Development strategy has three clear objectives:

Short term – to fund smaller projects which are achievable within the academic year via donations to the annual fund with one-off or regular donations and legacies.

Medium term – to support future capital projects: the development and improvements to the Howard Hall and the Performing Arts areas of the School; an integrated teaching facility for the sciences; developments within the art, design and technology, and information technology faculty; and the strategic development of the School’s Sports’ facilities.

Long term – to continue to build funding for BMS Modern Awards and Scholarships in support of widening access by increasing opportunities for local children with potential to be provided with a Bedford Modern School education.
