Projects in 2008 / 2009

This page is dedicated to informing you and updating you about this year’s projects, as well as previous successes and future aims and goals. It is also the place to come if you wish to make a donation to BMS today!

Annual Fund 08 / 09

This coming year we aim to continue the success that we have had so far with Modern Awards, providing opportunities to those children deserving of a BMS education whose families are unable to meet all or part of the cost. We are also aiming to obtain several items which will really help to improve the quality of learning and experience for all students at BMS;

 

Our academic provision will be enhanced by fitting ceiling mounted wireless digital projectors and multi media facilities into 38 classrooms at a cost of £29,000

 

Our sporting facilities will be further developed by purchasing new rugby scrummage machines and developing our

  fitness and weight training suite and significantly our Boathouse facilities at a cost of £53,000.

 

New and state of the art Science Data Logging Equipment is needed at £7,500.

 

The continued addition to and development of our school musical instrument inventory will take place at £10,000.

 

We wish to introduce 3D Printing into the Design & Technology Department to marry up with the Laser Cutting and Design technology that we introduced two years ago with such spectacular success; this will cost £19,000

 

We must expand and enhance our Film Studies programme with renewed investment in cameras and associated equipment at a cost of £8,500.

 

We wish to introduce computerised sewing into the Junior School as part of the development of their design and technology programme and this will cost £2,500.

 

We wish to deliver to the Howard Hall a suitable high definition projector and electronic screen and multi visual facility at a cost of £15,500.
