Andy Smyth - Bursar
Andy graduated from the Royal Air Force College Cranwell in 1980. He was commissioned into the Royal Air Force and enjoyed a varied career that included command, training and staff appointments, both home and abroad. He retired from the Royal Air Force in 1998 and was appointed as the Bursar and Clerk to the Governors of BMS. In 2007 he accepted additional responsibilities to encompass all aspects of School Business and Development. Andy remains a keen sports’ enthusiast enjoying walking, occasional cycling and dabbling at golf. His interests include theatre, modern history, computing and motorcycling. He is married to Anna and has a daughter in the sixth form at the School.
Lucia Limb - Development Director
Lucia joined BMS in October 2008. She joins the team from the Open University where she was Head of Fundraising Programmes. Before moving into the education sector she worked in fundraising and development roles for several national UK charities including Shelter and Action for Children. Lizzie Thomas - Senior Development Officer
Lizzie joined the BMS Development Team in February 2007. She came from a background of recruitment and telephone fundraising and is enjoying applying her skills and experience to her role as Senior Development Officer. Frances Billington - Marketing & Communications Manager
Frances joined BMS in September 2004 as the Marketing & Communications Manager. She previously worked at Cranfield University in Marketing and Business Development. Her main role is to promote BMS to its target market through a variety of media. She is also responsible for the BMS website, school publications and the BMS e-shot. Sonia Kendrick - Media and Communications Assistant
Sonia joined BMS in January 2005 having been employed for several years in the legal profession, including legal publishing, and then the automotive industry. Her main responsibility is maintaining and sourcing articles for publication on the News Section of the School website.
